Arizona’s Maricopa County shatters record for heat deaths

Public health officials said there have been 469 confirmed heat-associated deaths so far this year, with an additional 153 deaths still under investigation. In one week alone, from July 16 to July 22, there were around 150 heat-related deaths in the county.
