From the summer of 2020, our Board Chairman Zach McHenry (pictured) and our CEO/Founder Amy Meglio, along with individual volunteers, and sometimes in conjunction with other local organizations, have been distributing resources directly to the unhoused residents of Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and Glendale, AZ as our pre-incorporated organization, Intersect Maricopa.

In January of 2022, Intersectional Equity Maricopa became an officially incorporated Public Charity (501c3).

As an Intersectional organization, we have always believed that serving emergent community needs such as food, tarps, tents, and clothes for our Unhoused neighbors in the Valley must be included consistently as programs while we concurrently address other community needs.

 In our pre-incorporated beginnings, in an effort to provide maximum support, we often collaborated and distributed with other local community individuals and organizations.
